Xmas creativity in class

Working Co-operatively.

ESOL groups are going Minecrafting!

Students are going to have to work co-operatively, to achieve the objectives that the students together will set.

Watch and see what we decide to do.

Goals for our Minecraft adventure could be.

Work together. Decide who gathers resources and who builds, work together to design how the house will look. Plan the house before we build it.

Build a house with a room for each person each. Each bedroom should have a bed and a chest to store things. The house should be on a flat piece of land next to some water. It should have windows and a kitchen. There should be a garden and a fenced paddock for the animals.

Below is a link to an article about how Minecraft can be used in the classroom.

Holidays

Priyanshu hurt his leg, he watched his dad and friends and uncles play Kibbati! Which we learnt last term. In their version they try and grab the oppositions legs and pull them onto the ground.

Denise went to New Brighton to see friends. Went crabbing with Zoe, they caught big and small ones. We ate them with rice.

Shreya went to Ashburton. On Saturday she went skiing, Shreya had lessons, she learnt to break and how to turn. We were tired and the next day we went to the fair, we had a go at the bungy and did a flip.

Mr Betts went to the North Island. He went to Mt Tongoriro, Lake Taupo, Waitomo and Hobbiton.
