A Fairy Tale

One group have written a collaborative story which we are going to make into a puppet show. We are learning to make an imaginative recount using who, what, when, where and why.

Once upon a time there was a witch. She wanted to make a cake. She went to capture a rabbit. But the witch came up with a frog cake instead. She wanted a cooking book, to make a worm sasauge. She went up to the mountain and found a little house.

She went inside and found a little girl. She poisoned the little girl with the cake. And she fell into a deep sleep, for fifteen years. And woke up changed into a princess.

The little girl woke up but was now grown up. She wanted to find out what happened to her.

She goes into town to find a Prince to to fight the witch. The Prince said yes.

They went to the forest to find the witch. They found an old house, but they didn't know it was the witches house. They knocked on the door and the witch looked out the window and saw them and quickly went to her room and put on a disguise.

The witch came to the front door dressed as an old lady.

"Come in my lovelys,  I have some cake for you."

The Prince asks

"Have you seen a witch?"

The witch lies and says she saw a witch going into the haunted vampire forest.

The prince and the girl both said thank you and had a piece of cake.

The cake magically transports them to the haunted forest.

They walk in the forest and a vampire appears on the path in front of them.

The prince draws his sword and fights the vampire.

He kills the vampire and they carry on.

A black cat crosses their path and speaks to them. Telling them the witch has tricked them and they must escape the forest to kill the witch.

They turn around, but lots of vampire bats swoop down in a circle around the two travellers and turn into vampires.

The princess draws her magics wand and turns them all into butterflies.

The butterflies get blown blown away and the two travellers Cary on their journey towards the witch.

They come across a cave and have to travel through it. On the way they fall into a trap.  The prince uses his sword to cut himself out.

They find their way back to the witches house.

They call the witch out. The witch and princess have a magic battle. The witch turns the princess into a frog, the frog turns the witch into a fly. The frog eats the fly, the prince kisses the frog, the frog turns into the princess. The witch being the evil turns into a happy candy unicorn fairy forest and they live happily ever after.

Our waka

In Senior ESOL we are looking at the waka that brought us or our ancestors to New Zealand. We are designing waka that travelled from Africa, Samoa and India to our great nation. Photos to follow.
