Successful pirating
What did we think we knew about pirates? They were heroes. They had parrots. They got treasure.
Did we know any famous pirates? Captain Hook( I thought they said Cook), Blackbeard, Jack Sparrow.
When did olden day pirates live? 10,000 years ago. Olden days.
Are there pirates today? NO! ME HEARTIES!
Looks like we have lots of room to learn about pirates. A shame Pirate day is only once a year. If you want more pirates in your life try this:

Maori Langauge Week
Students have been learning elements of Whare Tu Toa Ke waitaha Mau Rakau for Maori langauge week. The video shows their training. Students have or will hopefully be able to perform in front of their teachers and/or class to show their skills. Kia Kaha.
