Filipo's Holiday

Filipo is writing about being a pirate in a cool video game. Once he has finished his writing he will create what he did in Comic Life or Pic Collage.

Senior students have been using the website Homestyler to build a dream house, this has been part of their Ecologically Friendly unit in class. Their next task is to write a descriptive piece of writing of someone walking through their house where they have to describe the house and the rooms in detail. They can make it purely descriptive or put it in a story.

There will be no more time in class to design their houses. I look forward to seeing what we ca create. Here is an example below.

We are using our own house plans to create a piece of writing that accurately follows the design of our house.
Descriptive Writing.
I walked in the from door, it was made of wood. On the left was a long wall which had the garage behind it, on the right was a small room that looked like a study. I moved down the hall passing a bedroom next to the study. I entered a lounge with a couch and a low table. This led into anther hall that was the same lengths the first one. This opened up into a large kitchen dinning room area.
Narrative Writing
I kicked open the hallway door, swinging my tennis racquet to my left, trying to hit the intruder as he dodged into the hallway. I had come out of the kitchen heading for the from door when the dark figure jumped out of the bathroom door.
I had just happened to be heading out to tennis and had the racquet handy. The figure dodged left into the lounge and I followed . The room looked empty but he must have been behind the couch so I jumped over it swinging.
